A Little About Myself

How I Became a Pet Sitter

Pet sitting has always been a passion of mine. Since I was young I’ve always loved learning about and taking care of all types of animals. Carbon County Pet Sitting was created in 2014 and now is an insured limited liability company. My experience as a veterinary technician, animal shelter manager-kennel worker, and wildlife rehabilitator has given me so much knowledge about handling animals and how to help them in an emergency situation. I’ve previously owned a small animal rescue and have rehomed countless homeless pets. I retired from being a Humane Society Cruelty Officer to focus on my family and have decided to help people and their pets in another way. It was difficult to find someone to take care of all our pets when we went away on vacation and noticed there was such a high demand for someone who was as qualified like myself. Who was Licensed and Insured. So I formed the best business I could think of in Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania. Carbon County Pet Sitting LLC

Answers To All Your Questions

Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions I’ve gotten from pet owners and previous clients. Whether you’re wondering what a typical day for your pet is while you’re away, or you’re curious whether your pet will be happier and healthier staying home versus a boarding kennel, I’m happy to address any questions and concerns you may have.

My pet needs to go to the vet in an emergency while we are away on vacation. Can you take her?

Absolutely! Your pets health is very important and if medical attention is needed, I will transport myself to your veterinarian.

Do you have experience with rare or exotic pets?

Yes, a lot.

How many dogs can you walk at once?

Several, depending on their size. You tell me what your dogs are used to and I will make sure their daily schedules remain the same.

I’m worried about my cats being left alone in the house. Will someone break in and take them?

I always suggest that clients allow me to turn lights and televisions on and off to let prying eyes know someone is coming in and out of the house throughout the day and in the evenings. Allow me to set the security system at night too if they have one.
